Isaac , daughter Mary and George Bushby

(Why Isaac ? Well a pointer to one of Isaac,s questions appear )

Mary was born in West Tarring 26th November 1805 George born 18th  February 1802 also West Tarring. Interesting they were married on the 15th October 1824 at St Nicholas’s Brighton . Did they marry there because Mary was only 19 or were they working in Brighton as servants .(The entry above their marriage in register has an underage man who was annotated with his fathers permission)  This has mistakenly been misled that Mary was another Mary who was from Brighton  However back in West Tarring  they had 2 sons William (bap 26 march 1826 ) and Richard (bap 9 march 1828 .)

In 1829  they emigrated to Australia-(to quote ,original source unknown)

“George Bushby, arrived from England at the fledgling Swan River settlement in 1829 as an employee of the pioneering Henty family. Swan River in 1829 was a marginal proposition, and in 1832 George Bushby moved to Van Diemen’s Land, again with the Henty family, settled in Launceston and did significantly better than he had in the west.”

One article found was possibly a transcription of an added addition in the front  of a book on Christianity with a full birth dates of Mary , her siblings and parents with some family events. The last 2 lines quoted as saying

“  So Farewell my Son and Daughter

Mrs Gutthers gift to George and Mary 1829”

2 points -the name Gutthers doesn’t seem to appear anywhere and also did Mrs “Gutthers” actually be more a friend or family of the Streeters
